Thursday, March 24, 2005 "Mars Chapters" Replace RC Chapters Mars Chapters. Credit: Unknown As part of our continual effort to work together with the entire Mars colonization and terraforming community, Red Colony has done away with its Red Colony Chapters in favor of Mars Chapters. The new Chapters are not affiliated with Red Colony, since Red Colony is not an organization, but will work for the general Cause for Mars. This means that existing astronomy clubs or Mars groups can become a Mars Chapter, just by pledging their support to the global community. Mars Chapters can participate in many ways, by holding meetings to discuss new terraforming methods or writing articles about a possible city design. There are no restrictions on your group's potential! The object of these Mars Chapters is the same as that of Red Colony: to serve as a forum for the debate and development of mission architectures and colonization and terraforming techniques. Existing Chapters will not be affected by the change, although the name "Red Colony" no longer need be associated with your club.
