Ice in Crater

The ESA has released some of the best pictures of ice on the surface of Mars, discovered in a crater as a frozen lake. The ice cannot be carbon dioxide because CO₂ sublimates in this part of Mars in the season the picture was taken. The images were taken by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on Mars Express.
